National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC)
The National Indian Gaming Commission was established pursuant to the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988. The Chairman of the Commission is appointed by the President and must be confirmed by the Senate. The Secretary of the Interior appoints the other two Commissioners. The commission hires full-time staff to perform the legal and regulatory requirements of the Act.

National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA)
The National Indian Gaming Association is a non-profit organization of 184 Indian Nations engaged in tribal gaming enterprises from around the country. NIGA works with the Federal government and Congress to develop sound policies and practices and to provide technical assistance and advocacy on gaming-related issues.
