The Washington State Gambling Commission (WSGC) is the second oldest gambling regulatory agency in the nation. The Legislature created the WSGC in 1973 after a series of gambling related scandals. The WSGC's mission is to protect the public by ensuring that gambling is legal and honest.

WA State DSHS - Problem Gambling
The DSHS Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is responsible for planning, implementing, and quality oversight for state-funded prevention and treatment services for problem gambling. An advisory committee also oversees services.

Governor's Office of Indian Affairs
The Governor's Office of Indian Affairs, recognizing the importance of sovereignty, affirms the government-to-government relationship and principles identified in the Centennial Accord to promote and enhance tribal self-sufficiency and serves to assist the state in developing policies consistent with those principles.
